LG Electronics made a lasting impression at AHR Expo (International Air-conditioning Heating Refrigerating Exposition) 2017, the world’s largest HVAC industry convention. The convention was held from January 30th to February 1st in Las Vegas, Nevada.
LG showcased their Multi V 5, Multi V S and Multi F Max system air-conditioners specifically designed to meet the unique needs of any buildings. The launch of these specialized products solidifies LG in the market as a leading HVAC system manufacturer in North America and on a global scale.
The LG Multi V 5 is the flagship product in LG’s lineup and it received a lot of attention at AHR this year. LG was able to reduce the size of the Multi V 5 while improving its performance with Advanced Smart Load Control that optimizes comfort as it adjusts to weather conditions. The Multi V 5 also has an innovative biomimetic fan design that simultaneously increases efficiency and airflow as well as reduces perceived noise levels by up to 20%.
LG also unveiled the single-phase VRF Multi V S models, which were announced in October. These 2 and 5-ton Multi V S models were designed to provide high energy efficiency and the versatility of heating and cooling simultaneously. These models provide flexible and energy efficient HVAC options to customers across North America.
Visitors to AHR were impressed with LG Electronics’ compact and efficient lineup and with their next-generation integrated control systems that amplify the sophistication of control and performance for a more comprehensive building system solution. LG unveiled 3 new system control products at the convention that are changing the game in building management solutions. The LG MultiSITE Remote Controller, LG MultiSITE Communications Manager and LG MultiSITE VM3 building management solution provide systems operators with a cohesive control over systems that was previously unavailable on the market. The solutions boast intuitive and customizable interfaces allowing sophisticated configuration and functionality. Integration with legacy management systems is also possible with integration of these systems.
LG also demonstrated their Mobile LGMV (LG Monitoring View) application that allows for remote monitoring control and maintenance of the Multi V, Multi F and Multi F Max systems. Through this system, technicians have the capability to access system operation information in real-time through a mobile device.
LG Electronics has been showing double-digit growth in North American HVAC market for 3 years straight and their expertise is not only in system air conditioners. They also exhibited approximately 30 HVAC compressor and motor components in Las Vegas. Compressor component sales for LG increased dramatically in 2016 and they have plans to continue to innovate the compressor and motor technologies revealed at AHR.
“LG consistently pushes the boundaries in air conditioning technologies, leading the industry with superior efficiency and new product innovations, all of which can be seen at this year’s AHR Expo,” said Kevin McNamara, the senior vice president of Air Conditioning Technologies, LG Electronics USA. “LG’s unparalleled commitment to providing cutting-edge technology along with the tools, resources, training and support to deliver a complete solution to our customers and industry partners, continue to be our top priorities for 2017 and beyond.”
Attendees of the world’s largest industry trade show for HVAC engineers, contractors, distributors and other trade professionals visiting LG’s booth (#C1330) will interact with the latest LG air conditioning technologies, bringing LG’s vision, technology and commitment to life, McNamara explained.
